Easter Trail Race
The Easter Eggstravaganzer Trail series is held annually over the Easter bank holiday weekend.
The 2020 Easter Trail race takes place on Saturday 11 April from our clubhouse in Little Baddow just off Riffhams Chase.
There will be a 5 mile shorter route for runners and walkers and a 10 mile longer route for runners only.
Both routes are non-marshalled completed with narrative route instructions the majority of each route being off-road on local paths in rural parts of the Essex countryside around Little Baddow, Danbury and Woodham Walter.
Start times are staggered between 08:30-10:30am.
Cost of entry is £3.00 affiliated and £5.00 unaffiliated. Entries on the day only.
Minimum age 16 (5 mile race) and 17 (11 mile race). Please refer to UKA Rule 141 for further guidance on age limits.
TRA Permit No. TBC.
The Easter Eggstravaganza totals four races across the Easter bank holiday weekend hosted by ourselves at Little Baddow, along with Mid Essex Casuals, Grange Farm & Dunmow Runners, and Springfield Striders.
The races are as competitive as you want them to be and entries are received from walkers, plodders, joggers, runners and racers (whichever category suits you!).
The events are non-marshalled and Entrants are given a set of written instructions and set off at a time of their choosing usually within an hour or so window. Courses are mainly off-road and it can be quite fun interpreting the instructions.
Most events start and finish at pubs or cafes with tea, biscuits and cake and other refreshments to enjoy once you’ve finished.
We advise carrying a mobile phone with you at all times in the event you become lost or in the event of injury illness.
